Excursions to the Tremiti Islands
Not to be missed are the sights of the Tremiti archipelago: four islands that can be reached by boat tour. The water here is truly crystal-clear, with caves and inlets, all of which can be visited using small boats.

The coast of the Gargano is full of sea caves, which can be visited by boat. The departure is directly from the port of Peschici, with a trip along the coast that lasts a few hours and allows for stops to bathe or to enter some of the caves.

If you wish, you can also visit one of the many sanctuaries in Apulia, such as San Giovanni Rotondo. A destination for many pilgrims, the great Basilica houses the remains of Saint Pio.

If you are a fan of authentic nature, head for the Umbra Forest Nature Reserve, a unique place rich in biodiversity. There are many different species of birds and mammals such as fallow deer and wild boar, as well as beech forests that have been declared a World Heritage Site.
